- Upload a digital recording of your song.
- MasterTrack Music will complete all required government paperwork and register your work with the United States Office of Copyright.
- MasterTrack Music will keep a copy of all paperwork and a copy of your song in its database as retrievable evidence of your date of filing for copyright to further establish and prove your ownership of the copyrighted material while your copyright is pending.
- Copies of all paperwork filed with the U.S. Office of Copyright will be emailed to you pending receipt of the original Certificate of Copyright from the U.S. Office of Copyright.
- An Official Copyright Number and Certificate of Copyright from the U.S. Office of Copyright will be mailed to you upon receipt.
(Note: The U.S. Office of Copyright typically takes from 30-90 days to issue the original Certificate of Copyright — but your music is protected the moment MasterTrack Music files your copyright. Your Certificate of Copyright will reflect the date your copyright was filed by MasterTrack Music.
